Project Arrival was formed in Perth, Western Australia in 2021 after realising that there was a gap in the performance industry for Perth's youth dancers.
Artistic Directors, Declan Allen and Paula Nicoletto have combined their passion for dance to provide opportunities for local dancers to extend their knowledge in contemporary dance through project style works to empower young performers to create their own community in a supportive environment where creativity is nurtured, developed and encouraged.
The combined and varied skills of Declan (dancer, teacher/chorographer, performer and WAAPA Musical Theatre student) along with Paula (teacher/choreographer, secondary/tertiary dance teacher) allow a flexible approach that values research and controlled risk within the creative process of choreographic exploration. Together they hope to enable their performers to explore all the necessary visual, emotional and physical aspects of dance that may not have been previously known or experienced by the dancers, allowing empowerment and growth at all times.
Project Arrival are independent artists offering short term projects to the youth dancers of Perth and does not form part of a dance studio.
Arrival: "the emergence or appearance of a new development or product", "to arrive somewhere". Project Arrival is a new beginning that is entering a new stage in dance performance.
